“We need to do more to educate the public about life saving measures and techniques.” - Julie Willoughby
Each year children in our community die needlessly from heatstroke or drowning. Julie believes that many of these deaths could be prevented through increased community education and support. For example, by supporting and promoting the Chandler Fire Department’s Hands-Only CPR training, we can help protect the safety of our own families as well as our neighbor’s families. In addition, distributing welcome packets to new residents warning them about the dangers of heatstroke, we can work to decrease the number of deaths happening annually in our neighborhoods.
